The purposes of this experiment are to familiarize students with (1) the Protein Data Bank, (2) methods of structure display and analysis, and (3) the three-dimensional structure and mechanism of a specific enzyme. Before beginning this experiment, read Chapter 7 of "Biochemistry" by Voet and Voet, 2nd edition.
