From: "Stephen J. Johnson" Date: Thu, 8 Mar 2001 12:56:10 -0000 Subject: New user Organization: * Hi, Sorry if this has been done to death before but I am new to GC-MS. I have used instruments with MassLab and HP Chemstation and would like to be able to analyse data obtained with one (Chemstation) using the NIST library on the other (MassLab). Is there a (preferably free) way of converting between the two file formats? Thanks in advance for any help. Regards Stephen. -- Stephen J. This deconvolution program will read both ChemSatation and MassLynx data files. If you have the NIST 98 version of the NIST/EPA/NIH Mass Spectral Database in only the MassLynx format, you can get a copy of the NIST MS Search Program and the DB in NIST format for $750US. This is not free but may held. There is a conversion program, also not free, from ChemSW at http://www.chemsw.com that will convert your ChemStation files to MassLynx format, I think.
