ACADEMIC ADVISING
Academic Advisement Meetings Please sign up for a slot on the hour or half-hour via the Academic Scheduler

Go to the online catalog and determine which courses you need to take in the upcoming term.

Check OSCAR's schedule of classes for specific course offerings.

Bring a completed Academic Advising Form (.pdf) and a Weekly Schedule Form (.doc) to your advisement meeting.

Update your own personal Degree Candidate Checklist (for Chemistry Majors or for Biochemistry Majors).

Preparing for Graduation Check the deadline for degree petitions on the Registar's home page. It will usually be in the semester before your anticipated graduation term. Complete the top portion of the form and bring it to an academic advisement meeting. Graduating seniors do not need to meet with me in the final semester.
Change of Major Students who wish to change majors from Chemistry or Biochemistry to any other degree must complete a Change of Major Form.

Students who wish to change majors from any degree to Chemistry or Biochemistry must schedule an appointment with Dr. Cam Tyson in the Academic Programs Office. He will assign you to one of our department's Academic Advisors. Schedule an appointment with the specific person to whom you are assigned.

Transferring Credits Students who wish to receive credit for courses taken at another college should check the Registar's web page for Transfer Equivalencies to determine how many credits you can receive and for what courses.
