Past Sessions
Careers in Chemistry
The Georgia Section of the ACS held its monthly meeting in the IBB atrium on Tuesday, March 29th, from 7-9 pm at Georgia Institute of Technology. There was a discussion session on career options in chemistry, including industry, academia, and government labs. This was a great opportunity for prospective professionals to learn about what happens after they finish their degree.
Patent Law
GSF sponsored a discussion session with Lawrence A. Villanueva, J.D., Ph.D., who went into patent law following his Ph.D. work in chemistry, on January 19, 2004. He provided interested students with information on using a scientific background in law. His talk was entitled "Career Options in Patent Law" and is available here for download.
Kforce Scientific
Kforce Scientific hosted an information session for Chemistry students on November 12, 2003. KForce is a professional staffing company that recruits individuals with a science background. They can assist you in locating jobs in Atlanta and all over the nation. Contact Nikara Paul (npaul@kforce.com) if you are interested.
